A graduate of the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science and Arts, Nicole E. Kelleher studied French Literature and Language, Spanish and Chinese. During her time in Ann Arbor, she also attended classes at the University of Michigan’s School of Art, taking classes in art history, drawing, watercolor, and photography.

She moved to France to continue her studies at the Université Catholique de l’Œest before pulling up stakes and heading to Belgium. There, she completed an internship at a fine arts and antiques auction house. She travelled throughout Europe, immersing herself in its history, architecture, and art.

Upon her return to the United States and her small home-town, she purchased a one-way ticket to California and, with $600.00 in her pocket, went in search of a job.  Her fourteen-year career in hospitality and hotel/restaurant management began, taking her up the California Coast from San Diego to San Francisco, then back east to settle in Chicago.

It was in Chicago that she received her greatest joy: twin boys.  In 2004, when they were two years of age, Nicole and her family relocated to the Washington D.C. area where she was able to commit herself full-time to their care. She lives in Northern Virginia with her children, husband, and Tully the Dog. A great lover of books, Nicole sat down in front of her computer one day and started typing. When she is not writing or spending time with her family, she commits a few hours each week to volunteer at a local organization helping the less fortunate. She encourages her friends and readers to do the same.

Nicole is a member of Romance Writers of America and Washington Romance Writers Chapter (WRWDC).

Wild Lavender, her first novel in The Aurelian Guard Series, won the 2017 Golden Quill Award for Best Fantasy Romance, achieved 3rd place in the New England Readers Choice Contest for Historical Romance, a 2017 Maggie Award for Excellence Finalist, and a Kathryn Hayes “When Sparks Fly” Finalist. Wild Lavender‘s sequel, The Queen’s Dance, was released in May, 2017. She is currently working on book three of The Aurelian Guard Series as well as a new contemporary paranormal romance and a futuristic political thriller.
